Association Nabad for development works to activate the role of women and enhance their skills.This project will aim to enable and empower a group of women on using social media in strategic way in order to raise their voice to demand their rights and start playing their leadership role in community development.
Nabad will conduct three training for 25 women in central and north bekaa on Social media (Facebook ,Twitter and Digital storytelling) in order to create page on facebook,Hashtag and make a film about their case and spread it on social media (facebook and Twitter) .

After a study carried out by the Association Nabad for Development and after meetings with a group of women, as women make up more than 50% of the community, and they are consider as the most vulnerable. Building on this, and on the fact that the civil society in Lebanon is a vibrant part of the community of change , Nabad will implement this project a group of women . This group should be familiar with internet and social media and we will empower and enhance their skills to use social media in an effective mean.

How many participants do you think will be trained in your project?
The project will Target 25 Women as direct beneficiaries . After training them on social media and posted the video , our goal to reach 1000 person (Indirect Beneficiaries).
The team will conduct several meetings with group of women to promote the project and distribute the applications to whom it concerns and committed .And distribute an evaluation on the participants to evaluate our workshops in order to find any problems to solve and achieve their requests to sustain their participation.

Video : Story telling to create a video by the participants to post it on social media

Workshops will be held in the center of nabad organization or partners. 10 computers , internet speed :500 Kb .
What is your current relationship with the community with whom you plan to work? What makes you the most appropriate individual or organization to implement this project?
Nabd has a great relationship with community members and keys (municipalities, Universities and schools) and this will help us in our project. Moreover , there are members in our organization worked before with such projects and have experience which means that Nabad has all all needs to make this project success.
What specific challenges do you expect to face when planning and implementing your project?
Although we are suffering from bad security situation in Lebanon, so We will implement the project in an area far from Unsecured places.
How will you measure and evaluate the project’s impact, specifically: your primary participants, the wider regional community, or the global digital community?
We will measure the projectls impact by:
1- the Number of the participants during Workshops
2- the evaluation papers filled by the participants
3- The interaction on social media , especially when we reach 1000 like on facebook page .
If your project were to be selected as a Rising Voices grantee, what would be the general timeline of project activities in 2014?
the period of the project will be 3 monthss:
1 first month : for meetings to promote the project and registering
2-Second month : Three Trainings will be conducted
3- Create the video and start the interaction on social media+ evaluating
