This project has as its purpose to introduce the local rights and obligations to citizens of Strumica. The need of such project and the creation of an online newsletter in form of a website are of significant importance for acknowledgement of the local rights, but in meantime endorsement of the local rights too. Through creation of a website , which primary will serve as place for acknowledgement of the human rights, the citizens will be able to find out how to use properly their own rights, but also how to respect and fulfill their obligations towards the society.

What locality or neighborhood will your project focus on?
Strumica
Describe the specific population with whom you will be working.
In these project, our target is the young population (mostly students and high school students), but also the elder population which can be easily manipulated. The young who are most dominant on the social networks and the internet platforms, with one click on our website will be introduced to their local rights and obligations. As such an important group, they will be interested in facing the rights and obligations and because of the rapid flow of information our purpose will be achieved. They will also provide information to their elder members of the family about their local rights and obligations. As for the elder generations this project will also be publically presented.
Who else will be on your team to help implement the project?

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
Our vision is to break the barriers of the misunderstandings that local citizens have in terms of their local obligations and their local rights and teach them where to find the answers for the problems they have. Therefore, our vision is to create a website where all these information will be available. The participants will find all information based on law standards and will provide resolution to the most basic and most prominent problems that citizens face in terms of local rights and obligations. These website will be updated with further information with cultural and educational purposes.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?
Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established or plan to establish that will contribute to the success of the project.
The Association “NOVUS” has established an extraordinary collaboration with all local medium subjects, but also cherish a friendly and professional relationship with “Youth Council – Strumica”, one of the largest NVO’s in Republic of Macedonia and has “NOVUS” as its partner. The Association “NOVUS” has established professional collaboration with the Association of Journalists in Macedonia, Summer Work & Travel Alumni Macedonia ICBMO ( The Research Centre of security, peace and defence).
How many participants do you think will be trained in your project?
As trained participants we consider all the people that will be directly involved in the process of creating the web which is the number of thirty people , but we consider this number as bigger because our presentations will be publically introduced to the citizens of Strumica and also to the global media , which means that the number will grow in future and this will be a long term process. As time goes people will train themselves through the website about their local rights and obligations. The people directly involved in the certain of the web will participate through research and workshops before we put the website in use. Afterwards, every person from Strumica and even widely will be involved in the process of acknowledgement of local rights and obligations.
Describe which technologies, tools, and media you will focus on when training participants.
As media tool to inform the citizens about their rights and responsibilities we will initially use social networks, blogs, and afterwards the website made for this purpose. We will also write informational stories and articles in some of the daily newspapers, web portals and we will include local televisions also. By doing so, we will apply some of the techniques of guerrilla marketing. We believe that in this way we will be able to inform the public which is our main target .
Describe the facilities where you will hold the workshops.
The workshops will be conducted in free public rooms used for that purpose. There will be several computers with access to the WI – FI internet, we will provide the necessary printed materials and brochures that in detail will introduce our purpose to the participants so that they can meet their local rights and obligations.
What is your current relationship with the community with whom you plan to work? What makes you the most appropriate individual or organization to implement this project?
The two involved communities in this for now imaginary project are the organization in which I am one of the founders and the public community that I am part of as a proud citizen. What I want to establish through this project is the relationship between these two communities and teach them how to help each other. What makes me the most appropriate individual is that I am completely dedicated on human rights which are part of my academic life, also the energy I put in my organization that treats human rights. What i would like to stress out is that I would not be the only person that is appropriate but the support of all the people that work on human rights within the organization. This web site will be something that will last and will be updated as long as my organization functions.
What specific challenges do you expect to face when planning and implementing your project?
Challenges are quite much, but first and the most important is the basic goal: – Improvement of people’s knowledge about their local rights, but also obligations. We may face ignorance about these areas, but we mostly hope for positive endorsements and improvement of the basic misunderstandings about local rights. What will be a challenge to us is Strumica's Assembly, because we have in plan to present this web and expect only its support. A challenge to us would also be the elder, but we will find a way to reach out their support. What is a kind of security is that we believe there is no person that is not interested to learn more about their rights through the social media.
How will you measure and evaluate the project’s impact, specifically: your primary participants, the wider regional community, or the global digital community?
This project is considered to have an impact on every level you mentioned. Though is mostly devoted on local rights, which means the local rights of the citizens of Strumica, will also have an impact on the global digital community having in mind it will mostly be represented through an easily accessible web. On the primary participants mostly because they will directly be involved in the process and learn more about human rights and how to face the problems and find solutions. Through public presentations, all local rights which will be divided into groups, will have an impact on the regional community. Since everything that is on internet is accessible to every eye, so the web and all the information on it will have an impact on the global digital community.
If your project were to be selected as a Rising Voices grantee, what would be the general timeline of project activities in 2014?
