The term minority rights come from human rights. Human rights are, as such, the foundation of minority rights. The Members of minority communities have all human rights because we all are human being. The unique and often marginalized situation of minorities means, in addition, they have minority rights. Individual Rights -The term minority rights are the individual rights that are enjoyed by person’s belonging to ethnic, religious and/or linguistic minorities. The following are the core four stakeholders/ communities that we will be focusing on , in their capacity building.
Media and journalists .
Law enforcement, the legal profession, and the courts.
Civil society (non-governmental, non-political, non-profit groups).

These meetings help us in identifying areas that need to be improved/amended and the same could be brought into discussions during seminars and consultative workshops for further discussions and pro capacity. The capacity building activities offered by M.CED are based upon four key fundamentals:

Stories related to minority rights, issues and problems faced will be created. These social web pages and media persons will also act as an early warning system so that if something unacceptable is going to happen to the minorities, they and the relevant stakeholders can be informed in time in order to prevent the incident or lower down its intensity.

M.CED has already good relations with media and one of our board members is a known media presenter on social issues and also implementing a project on Right of Expression, Association, Assembly & Thought (REAT) with special focus on religious minority and a member of Right of Expression, Association, Assembly & Thought (REAT) Network Pakistan.
We have also strong connections with students and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) as we are already members of different clusters.
How many participants do you think will be trained in your project?

In total, there will 60 participants in the all trainings, where as, at least 15 elected representatives will be sensitized and observant in personal meetings.
Describe which technologies, tools, and media you will focus on when training participants.
M.CED Organization domain is powered by Google Apps. We will provide real time presentation links (Google slides) and hangout for live video during training while keep availability of the video on YouTube website..
Hangout party time tool will allow participants to upload their photos directly to G+ hangout with GPS tag. (Allow viewing publicly)
With Google Apps, all our work is automatically saved in the cloud. We will have access to event, calendar, documents, and sites and be able to work securely, no matter where we are in the world and what device we are on.

- At least 5 (Nos) laptop will be required for training.

What is your current relationship with the community with whom you plan to work? What makes you the most appropriate individual or organization to implement this project?
Working on policy advocacy / civil rights / member of networks and campaigns.
Being engaged very close to community in the implementation of different projects, M.CED has strong linkages with all stakeholders regarding their proposed project for Rising Voices. M.CED addressed the issues and problems of target community and analysed them together and contributed widely to solve all these identified issues by close working with all stakeholders.

Hostile Social Environment towards Minority Rights
This will be overcome by the inclusion of religious leaders of all religions to bring harmony in the attitude of orthodox community for smooth running of project.

The Media is highlighting the minority issues and majority got aware about these issues and now they are discussing all these at different levels/forums.

If your project were to be selected as a Rising Voices grantee, what would be the general timeline of project activities in 2014?
The kickoff meeting will be assigned by the project organizer within two days right after the selection as a Rising Voices Grantee for tasks/activities and project management implementation plan. The project team will be allotted with the project timeline starting within the same week.
The total duration for the project proposed by Mohmand Community for Education & Development (M.CED) for the project under the title “Capacity Building on Minority Rights” will be three months in total.
