DEEPS has different projects and established a reputation with the community and Govt.
In fact, addressing the child marriage issue is a complex one and can not be resolved with in the sort period of time , need few more years to work on follow up and monitoring the project activities to bring out an impact in the long run.
It has a plan that once the training was over , in order to encourage the participants and to continue the commitment with the community , it is felt to extend support for incidental expenses like, travel, stationary and hono for co or of the project . If Microgrant extend support for one year the second year resource will be mobilised by DEEPS based on the impact / model established by the Micro grant project support.
What specific challenges do you expect to face when planning and implementing your project?
The specific challenges expect to face ..
1. The trained journalist should commit themselves for the cause continuously.
2. Knowledge gained should replicate with other members in the community.
3. A new technology – Internet accessibility should not create an adverse impact such as ( Eloping, new Boy friends , unwanted friends etc )
But it can be resolved , hence it assumes the drawbacks but the development can be visible in the long run.
In order to mitigate the above challenges it is felt to have a continuous follow up for two years by appoint a co or to monitor and stimulate the journalist to engage in the development process.
How will you measure and evaluate the project’s impact, specifically: your primary participants, the wider regional community, or the global digital community?
The following indicators can be visible ..
1. No. trained no. engaged in the process and created stories and uploaded in to blogs.
2. No. visited blog and posted views and disseminated by the regional and global community .
3. No. shared shared stories and other events to the CBOs and peer group by using internet as medium.
4. No. girls stopped marriages before 18 yrs.by themselves .
5. parents are the major stakeholder in preventing child marriages , no. sensitized and postponed marriage of their daughter.
6. Replication of the project.
by the above indicators the project can be evaluated. in fact, a new intervention , believe that the project will be a successful model to replicate .

I absolutely love your idea of letting the girls record their own stories and stories from their surroundings and present it to the world. Nothing better than learning of experiences from the person’s own mouth and seeing things as they see it. I love it how you are planning to make use of social media to get attention to the issue of Child Marriage in our country, at a time where most of us would be sitting rather comfortably, believing we have successfully dealt with the issue.
All the best! We will be looking forward to your posts 🙂
