Palestine: Youth 2 Youth
The project is initiating training course about creative writing and photography. We will later collect a number of stories that youth share in their writing in order to produce a radio show based on it.
The first stage of implementation will mainly focus on creative writing and how to enhance youth's ability in this particular field. The second phase will focus mainly on documenting their experience. The third phase is transforming it into a radio program.
What locality or neighborhood will your project focus on?
Describe the specific population with whom you will be working.
The course targets the young people in Palestinians area in general and youth from rural areas in particular. We did a poll about young people who find the space to express their issues and their problems were the answers from students who have a connection to the Internet are using social media (Facebook, Twitter, Google+ ..) to express their opinions, either the students who live in the villages and they have not a connection to the Internet most of the time they are expressing their views through local radio and participate in special programs youth issues.

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
Most of young targeted student have computers, but they connect to the internet varies, mostly of the student who live in cities connected to the internet either the villages students is not connected to the internet continually, but they benefit themselves from the online service offers by universities.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?
Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established or plan to establish that will contribute to the success of the project.
As a group of youth media, we aim to build bridges with the local community, first through radio in Arabic and the other in English via the Internet asking citizens issues and other bold issues benefits us to feel free in express through social media and broadcast online.
Our partnerships with a number of local organizations that work with young people, such as Dar al-Kalima College.Moreover, the organizations that work with the children of Inad Theatre, Al- Hara Theatre, Yamima and the organizations that work with women.
How many participants do you think will be trained in your project?
Group set up a special section for volunteers where we have 300 volunteers who make a weekly visit to the local organization to establish a day of volunteer work with the staff and the persons beneficiaries of the Services of the organization, such as a cleaning workshop, youth activities, awareness campaigns and help the needy.

Describe the facilities where you will hold the workshops.
The workshop will be in a hall which equipped with 15 computers connected to the internet, in addition to provide 5 laptops also connected to the internet
And will provide a photographic camera during the duration of the workshop.
And the internet access speed will be 4 MB ADSL.
What is your current relationship with the community with whom you plan to work? What makes you the most appropriate individual or organization to implement this project?
Our relationship with the targeting group is excellent because we are targeting the youth, and we as youth came naming the project.That will make us a very special institution in spite of other institutions because the project is for a youth , We speak to age group close to us, because all the members of the group and supervisors on the course are young people aged 19 to 28 years.
What specific challenges do you expect to face when planning and implementing your project?
We expect to face a problem of being able to get youth from all over Palestine, and we are aiming to sort out this problem by providing the transport expenses for all the youth from different cities
-Facing a problem from the Parents who may or may not have a problem with the subjects of the workshop
-We will keep all the youth work a secret as far as saying their names and if the family are happy to be part of the project we will work on including them as part of the project
How will you measure and evaluate the project’s impact, specifically: your primary participants, the wider regional community, or the global digital community?
The success of the project will be measured according to the following:
-The number of participants in the project
-The number of audience
-The number of people who are benefited from the project
If your project were to be selected as a Rising Voices grantee, what would be the general timeline of project activities in 2014?
First month- June- level one:
From 1-6-2014 to 5-6-2014
Introductory workshop about the project goals and Expressive writing.
Starting creative writing workshops.
Continuing with creative writing and developing ideas level with documentary film.
Technics and Basics of photography and searching about a creative ideas of photos with the final touches of writing.
Finishing the writing, and presenting writing and the ideas of photography’s.
From 21-6 to 30-6
Take some photos with supervisors
Second month- July – level 2
Promoting the programs by social media and publishing or brochures
After selecting the 12 photos and subject, we will process the photos with Photoshop to improve it with final touches.
Third month – August
Broadcast the first episode with the photo that belongs to the tittle of the episode
Sep 9- October 10
presenting the episode on the web.
