Rwanda: Hope Voices from Disabled Youth

In want to initiate project that intend to train disabled youth-students in the use of digital and media tools. The purpose is to create for them the access and usefulness in broadcasting and Media in general. In order to achieve this, we will teach them how to record and edit audio recordings. We will provide them with training and follow-up workshops in blogging and the use of social networks, so they will be able to share their productions with the outside environment.

I appreciate this idea because it will helpful to the handicapped students.

    Thank you.

  • I really love your idea! However, why have you chosen an audio platform for this people (who are now being referred to as special need(s) people)? I have worked with different special needs people, especially children, whose challenges I’ve recorded as a documentary film. (Kindly check my blog: immanuel3a.wordpress.com) I think these people can better report themselves thru’ visuals, or multimedia outputs. This is because visuals and multimedia outputs (combination of visuals and sounds, etc.) can easily draw attention to experiences of these people. If you, however, strongly believe in the audio output, you may still stick to it. I wish you good luck. Cheers!
