Proposals Bosnia Herzegovina from April, 2014
Bosnia Herzegovina: Inform and Transform
The project is created as a powerful tool for the use of the media and social networks for the needs of the youth from the local community. To youth will be given a chance to go through the set of workshops and lectures about audio and video production, the knowledge of textual expression of the web journalists, the importance of the social networks in the information flow and the creating and the maintenance of the web platforms. The primary tool, which will be used at the end of this training, will be an online radio station blended in the web platform that has informative characteristics.
Bosnia Herzegovina: Media Literacy & Resisting Manipulation
PCRC will approach the problem of skewed media reporting in Bosnia-Herzegovina by launching a youth-oriented, blogging project which will combine investigative journalism with creative methods of storytelling to shed light on the consequences lack of integrity and transparency in the media have on society. The project will aim to educate Bosnian youth ages 16 – 30 about methods they can use to avoid falling victim to skewed reporting and misinformation being disseminated by the media, while at the same time encouraging national dialogue through the provision of an interactive blogging website.
Bosnia Herzegovina: Blogging for Young Unemployed
Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to research, has 50% unemployed. The most of them are youth people from 18 years to 30. I would like to train up to 30 youth unemployed. I would like to train them few important things: blogging, social media tools such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter; how to utilize them in a way that is relevant to their lives and this country. This knowledge is usefull for labor market and for selfemploying. With this kind of knowledge and modern technical skills the young become more competitive on marketplace.
Bosnia Herzegovina: Little Radio for Big Ears
The project will thus target two marginalized groups and engage adolescents without parental care in a 4 week radio production education course, during which they will learn how to use open digital platforms and technology to produce one radio feature and how to broadcast it online. Participants’ practical exercise will consist of conceptualizing and producing a radio feature on a social position of adolescents with seeing problems. Radio feature is final result, its creation is the education and its message is a perspective of the society and the world trough the eyes of blind girls and boys.
Bosnia Herzegovina: The Other Side of the Story – Roma Population
Roma in BiH are the most numerous minority group. The exact number of Roma is not known. The Kakanj municipality today is one with the highest Roma population, but they are not represented in media.
