Macedonia: No for Underage Marriages Among Roma

Children give birth children. The purpose of this project is to raise awareness among young Roma population and their parents and once again reminded their children should not go a married too early, on 12, 13, 14 years old. This project will be a multimedia project by non-profit organization NGO “ZZPD. This NGO's work is dedicated to Roma young people up to 15 years old. Anyway the world has a problem with excess population, especially in poor areas. Will be a opportunity for Roma by training them to use media tools to tell their stories, and establish better communicati. with other ethnicity

Ukraine: E-Inclusion Against Digital Exclusion

Persons with disabilities face difficulties traveling, going out and accessing to information. It becomes more visible nowadays, in the world dominated by digital information and new media which leads to digital exclusion. We want to raise awareness among youth with fewer opportunities, their parents, NGO workers about new technologies and tools which make access to digital world easier. By means of trainings, consultations, manuals we will show that everyone is equal in the Internet, spread the knowledge how to educate and communicate the disabled more effectively and efficiently.

Bosnia Herzegovina: Media Literacy & Resisting Manipulation

PCRC will approach the problem of skewed media reporting in Bosnia-Herzegovina by launching a youth-oriented, blogging project which will combine investigative journalism with creative methods of storytelling to shed light on the consequences lack of integrity and transparency in the media have on society. The project will aim to educate Bosnian youth ages 16 – 30 about methods they can use to avoid falling victim to skewed reporting and misinformation being disseminated by the media, while at the same time encouraging national dialogue through the provision of an interactive blogging website.

Ukraine: Increase the Capacity of Public Voice

The project will create an interactive social technology of Public Opinion Research the active citizens about the actual problems of the city. The technique involves the development of a software module for tablet for the street survey of citizens and conducting street interviews through a program module and an audio recording of their views, followed by treatment and placement of podcasts on this site. Polls will carry specially trained volunteers. The results will be promptly posted on the organization's website, which will be executed its reconstruction.

Albania: The Marathon of Vox Populi “More Women in Politics Because…”

The project aims to ensure a greater voice for women and to promote women’s equality for 2015 Local Election. Women’s “marathon” will be a national action and will cover 12 regions of Albanian. It will be constituted by several elements;the most important will be the “equal rights spot” where citizens from every part of Albania will give their opinion and reasons for supporting women in politics. The Vox populi interviews will be conducted by 12 women previously trained, with citizen -12 regions of Albania. Then, the interview will be summarized in a TVspot “More women in politics because…”

The project aims to encourage the young people to inform the public society on their own about actual democratic processes that are important to their own communities by using online media. After before being provided training on production of videos, the youth will now learn in the training how and where to publish these topics online in form of videoblogs. Youth online involvement should also increase their peers‘ interest in local democratic processes.

Lithuania: Vilnius Roma Tell Their Own Story

Roma settlement of Kirtimai is regularly portrayed in the media as a “drug nest”, and the inhabitants of the settlement are accused of being unable to be a part of civilized society. Having much negative experience with national and local press, the Roma of Kirtimai are now being very closed from the rest of the society, which makes inclusion even more problematic. Using the participatory video methods five young members of this Roma community will their own story of life in this settlement and share their daily experiences, challenges and dreams.

Bulgaria: Little Voices

The project will work with children placed in closed institutions in Bulgaria (social care institutions, reformatory facilities). Although reform in them is underway, much remains to be done in terms of functioning/quality of provided services. As important stakeholders they need to be involved in the reforms that will affect them. We will conduct a training in citizen journalism and storytelling to encourage child participants to find their voices and personal stories and socialize them as informed and active citizens in the reform process.

Romania: Get Ready 4 New Media

“Get Ready 4 New Media” is a project proposed by the Bucharestian Youth Association for the young Journalism students and graduates of the Journalism Faculty. The aim of this project is to facilitate contact between young students or graduates and experts in media with the intention of creating an online community. The objectives proposed by the Bucharestian Youth Association are to form a group of young, future journalists helped by experts and to ensure quality training of these young people to develop journalistic skills.
