India: Campaigning Awareness for Improving Lifestyle
Objective- 1) Improving social condition of my community’s underprivileged children, who are underrepresented online, less than 16 age. 2) campaigning awareness to my local community 3) enhance computer literacy among elderly people. hope to achieve- 1) Improvement the social condition of those underprivileged children 2) Increasing awareness of my local community 3) Enhance computer literacy among aged people, so they can have fewer burdens. The procedures – Taking help local administration, local NGOs and local peoples, create an open platform for discussion.
India: The Road Ahead – India’s Unheard Voices
Forced displacement happens due to natural or manmade disaster, social and political unrest/conflict, ecological/climate change or development (e.g. industrial projects, dam construction, etc). In India, the people that are most vulnerable to this are scheduled castes, indigenous and tribal people, often very poor and uneducated – but most of all, unheard or worse yet, silenced. Our project involves citizen reporting. Mobile phones with inbuilt audio recorders are low-cost tools that enable us to easily connect and communicate. Our hope is to bring attention toward their experiences and needs.
India: Empowerment of Women through Mobile Vaani
Sisu Vikas Samiti intend to use Mobile Vaani , a voice based technology which enables the community to raise their voices, share their concerns and express their take on social issues. Mobile Vaani platform will emerge as a common platform for the people of Odisha to share their experiences, address their queries/questions/doubts on various issues they encounter their day to day lives. Here the callers and listeners will take up the issues pertaining to the gaps in the service delivery systems of various Government Schemes, lack of awareness on social issues, better understanding of agricultur
India: Bhili Swara – Voice of Indian Bhili Adivasis
CGnet Swara is a verbal news platform – a mobile-phone service that allows people to upload and listen to reports in their ownlanguages, providing a communication outlet for media dark zones that usually do not find space in mainstream media. Reported stories are moderated by journalists and become available for playback online as well as over the phone. Villagers drop a missed call on CGNet’s server, which then calls them back, and records their reports.By appointing a moderator/trainer for Bhil tribals, we aim to replicate the success achieved with ‘Gond’ and ‘Baiga’ tribals in Central India
India: Advocacy Training through Citizen Media in Sohela
Sohela, in Bargarh district of Odisha, India is a town which is still facing many problems such as Caste Discrimination, Labour Wages Problem, Drugs Abuse, Misuse of Government Funds by authorities, etc. Most people here are willing to fight against this evils but don't have proper knowledge or channel to express their views. I want to train youths and women from the grassroots in various forms of Citizen Journalism so that they can channelize their voice and issues in a proper to advocate for their rights and let the everybody hear them. I want to hand them over the power of media.
India: Taking ‘Apna Haq’ to the Community
Feminist Approach to Technology (FAT) is a non-profit organisation that envisages a holistic leadership model for girls, by helping them own technology from a rights-based feminist perspective. The project proposed here aims at creating three digital stories by girls from an urban poor area in New Delhi. They will capture and document the opinions and perspective of three stakeholders, viz., community-elders, boys and the girls themselves, on a film they have already made on issue of lack of toilets (called Apna Haq) and trace the impact the film has had on each stakeholder for safer living.
India: Kondh Tribal Women's Empowerment
The project will use new technologies to make a campaign, visualization and awareness against gender violence. Tribal and Dalit Women will understand that the role of women in making the district and state to be powerful only through equal gender participation and by avoiding violence against women; in order to uproot a cultural pattern of legitimization of violence against women within and outside the communities achieving recognition of the existence and enforcement of human rights to which indigenous women and dalits against violence and higher particpation of women in local governance
India: Regenerating Urban Areas through Youth Participation
Addressing the two issues confronting youth empowerment, i.e. under representation of youth in development affairs and high rate of unemployment; we propose to redefine youth participation in planning the future of Indian cities by creating a grassroots-driven process that inspires youth to undertake social entrepreneurship roles in urban areas such as in the Union Territory of Pondicherry. The idea is to create an online social innovation platform that has its roots in networking, sound advocacy and active participation principles. Training and workshops will be deployed to build capacities
India: Information Exchange for Farmers on Climate Resilient Agriculture
Nearly 70% of West Bengal’s population are villagers where every third person is poor; 70% of them are depends on Agriculture. Climate change has increased vulnerability of the populations with negative impact on Agriculture Production and yield quality. Disasters, like increase of cyclonic events and storm surges and make the state vulnerable. About 42% of the state area is flood prone and and many parts of State suffer water shortage and drought. The impact is creating food insecurity and hunger. Proposed project will inform and capacitate farmers on climate smart and indigenous farming.

Namakkal District in Tamilnadu,India with a population over 1.7 million is the worst hit of HIV/AIDS both by its prevalence and impact. Though, the teenagers have awareness on HIV/AIDS-they have limited skills to protect themselves from HIV/AIDS. They lack of knowledge of Sexually Infected Diseases.The knowledge on these vital issues are neither taught in education nor by the family members.The only get few information by their peers which are also myths.We propose to give away the scientific information through the social media, info on treatment centres support and follow up with couselling.
