Uganda: Business Women Platform

The project will offer practical training to 20 chapter leaders of Uganda Women Entrepreneurs Association (UWEAL) limited in the use of multimedia to share business stories of their members with the rest of the women in Uganda. In particular they will learn how to make and upload digital stories (photo, video, text and audio). They will practice how to interact online.

For the first time low literate and rural women can listen to information on maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health and other gender equality related mass campaigns.

India: Promoting Self-Empowerment Rights of Indigenous Youths Using Social Media

We will mobilise the indigenous people, off and online, promote our and rights under the UNDRIP, self-determination development with cultural identity. Use social media like to advocate and assert for our rights, promote & protect our culture, land & resources, manipulated/encroached by dominant cultures and the State – raising our voices to be heard. Organize public rally & online campaigns to implement the Right to Information Act. Make attractive banners/slogans to protest to the government demanding full access to information under the Act. Create platform for internet users.

Kyrgyzstan: Youth of the Borders

The project will talk about young migrants’ lives, their experience aborad and their current situation in their homeland. At the same time the materials prepared by citizen journalists will also talk about the life of families who have migrant relative. The programs will depict both: positive and negative sides of migrant’s life. In order to carry out this activity 10 young people of the Karakol town will be trained the basics of online journalism and will prepare materials. Their materials will be posted on the specially created Facebook page and the group pages of Issykkul oblast.

Uganda: Arts Against Social Injustice and Youth Related Violence

Arts against social injustice and youth related violence is a practically achievable project, it will be implemented by Arts for Change, we hope to see an increased number of youth reached and empowered with skills of using internet and computer, artstic presentations will be be shared on-line using Facebook, twitter and other blogs, besides the project looks forward to strengthen the youth networking system through active participation in artistic, discussions, dialogues and cultural interaction that can yield a positve change.
