To All the People

When I came to Jamaica, I was in a resort
Busted by the police, I ended up in Freeport
They locked me up and done stole my weed
Now I eat porridge that looks like horse feed

Hear me out, hear my cry
I pleaded guilty, I told no lie
Here we are all locked up
No where to go that's messed up
Being here is a lesson to be learned
You can guarantee I won't return

This is Thought

This is thought.

If I could sing I would sing my troubles away, but the thing is, I can't, so I write because I got to let people know where God has brought me from, whichever way I do it.

Why me? Everyday I ask God why me, then I remember these words: “should Christ carry the cross and the whole world go free” so I STOP wallowing in self pity/ questioning God.

Kindness

The more you give, the more you get
The more you laugh, the less you fret
The more you do unselfishly
The more you love abundantly
The more of everything you share
The more you'll always have to share
The more you love, the more you'll find
That life is good and friends are kind
For only what you give away
Enriches us from day to day

Don’t Give Up

DON'T GIVE UP The phone is ringing, bad news keeps coming but don't give up.

Life is pressing! Stress keeps coming, you feel frustrated but don't give up you can make it.

When discouragement comes. You feel like letting go but don't give up my friend you can make it .

Just trust God let him do it.

DON'T GIVE UP!

My Thoughts

I thought that being in prison would be tough, that all the love and strength I have wouldn't be enough to get me through this trying time, but to be honest. I'm doing just fine.

If I could go back and change what I've done, I wouldn't be me and I wouldn't be strong. This place has made me see what a bright future there is in store for me. It has made me appreciate my family and friends. I have learn to forgive and made amends. We all lose our way in life, we all at times suffer pain and strife; but it's not how you fall that counts it's how you get up. People may never come to prison and change their ways; sometimes their freedom is worst than their incarcerated days. I'd rather be here and know my spirit is free than be outside with the devil in me. So when you think of me being locked up in here; smile to yourself and give me a cheer because you'll know that I'll be okay for as sure as the sun lets off it's rays, I will be home one day.

How Will You Feel?

How will you feel, when you slaughter your own future, knowing that she could be your own daughter?

How will you feel, when in the midst of killing a little one, when you are about to do away with him, you hear him say “Dad give me chance”?

How will you feel, when you look around and see none of the future?

Then you start to wonder why must I do this to our own future?

Just stop and think how you can stop this disaster!

Then you don't have wonder, how will feel?

The Mind

There is a powerful force that lives within our mind. It is like the roar of rushing waters and peals of thunder! It whispers like the cool wind. It lets us imagine good or evil things. But what place does imagination have in the plan and design of things, if it is liable to mislead ones thinking. Still it is the stimulator of our thoughts and the activator of the creative power within. The mind gives us the courage to cry tenderly for joy and healing, makes us human enough to make mistakes, sincere enough to admit them, strong enough to solve them, flexible enough to grasp the tangle.

A Mother’s Gift

To my baby Wayne aka Singy Singy from District Prison: There is a curve called girlfriends, red lights called enemies, speed bumps called friends, caution lights called family. You will have flats called jobs but if you have a spare called determination, an engine called perseverance, insurance called faith and a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called success.

To my daughter, my love, life and heartbeat. This is a special gift that you can never see, the reason it's so special is; It's just for you Shannon, from me. Whenever you are happy or even feeling blue. You only have to feel this gift and know I think of you. You can never unwrap it, please leave this ribbon tied. Just hold it close to your heart it's filled with love inside.

From Dana @ Fort Augusta.
