Kenya: Operation SGBV out!

As a result of the unprecedented growth, affordability and coverage of mobile telephony in Kenya, we propose to anchor to it SGBV prevention and survivor support. Efforts to address and reduce SGBV within communities, principally among men and boys remain dismal. There is a need to go innovative, smart and large scale. We see a mobile phone as a tool for community mobilization, reporting, whistle blowing, advocacy/lobbying, and survivor support

Serbia: Europe for Citizens

The project consists of informing citizens about the benefits of non EU countries accession to the EU. Information will be available on the web site, social networks, blogs, and on YouTube through videos. It will also be an online quiz about knowing EU and EU values on the website where the best answers will be rewarded.Participants will become familiar with all the relevant information, participate in the quiz and active using all online tools.

India: Empowering Unheard Voices through Radio/Films

Childhood Enhancement through Training and Action (CHETNA) is working for empowerment of Street and Working Children in India. These children are living in very difficult situations and their voices are seldom overlooked by people around. A negative perception is made in the mind sets of local people. These children have immense potential and skills that if showed/shared using film or Radio will help change perception of common people.

Kenya: Mathare Street Digital Vision Peer TV Project

Ease of access to small arms in Mathare slums has enabled teenagers into acquiring guns which they use for violent crime. inspite of deaths occassioned by police confrontations, teenagers continue to indulge in gun related crime due to peer influence. The project uses positive peer influence and proactive communication to mobilise teenager to quit crime by creating and sustaining social pressure aganist all forms of crime in the community

India: Helping Indigenous Youths To Voice Their Cultural Rights

The project will help indigenous youths to voice their cultural rights online, using Twitter and Facebook. A page for indigenous youths to promote their rich culture, share pictures of their cultural heritage with others, video of performing art, and discussions on how to further develop the practices and make it accessible for future generations and find way for preservation through a sustainable process of changes.
