The project pretends to preserve, to expand and to promote the conservation of the native language (Yucatec Maya) among all the social sectors, but principally between the young people, because they are who have lost the interest to continue communicating and expressing them selves using their mother tongue, the technology like the use of social networks, cellphones and the town planning of the rural sector are factors that have contributed.

Tahdziu, Yucatán
Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
The project will be developped in Tahdziu’s Yucatán México community, considered the poorest community of the State, its principal economic activity is the traditional parcel of land (milpa) and the manufacturing of handcrafted dresses (huipil), this town is located in the south of the State of Yucatán to 140 kilometres of the capital.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
The grandparents will be interviewed in order to compile information and make differents spots that will be spreaded using the community radio and also will be spreaded on Facebook for the young people
The role that the participants will play, it is to be a promoter of the Yucatec Maya language for its revaluation and its preservation.

Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established that will contribute to the success of the project.
The group of young people or juvenile network, as we have named us, has contact with several young people from the four municipalities and we work all thoguether to coordinate activities that help to improve the standards of living of our communities in the topics of equity and governability.
We have contact with different civil society organizations as EDAC(Enterprising of the Community Development) and EDUCE (Education, Culture and Ecology).
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
With the diffusion of the project using the social media and the radio we plan to make aware at least approximately 2000 young people
