The projects major aim will be empowering PwDs with information Communication technology skills to enable them share their life stories and raise awareness on issues affecting their full inclusion in the community. They will be trained on how to document, video film, photographt and testify touching stories that can later be used for advocacy. This project will benefit 50 PwDs in Kasese directly. And in the long run these will also train others.

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
I envision a society where there is free and full participation despite ones status. The participants will be able to produce and document inspirational and real life touching stories using video films, photography, documentary and through testimonies using the skills gained in training to raise awareness.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?
Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established that will contribute to the success of the project.
I have been working in a Victim assistance project within the district and this is where I have had the chance to meet and interact with this particular group of people; In this project we targeted people with disabilities and I saw that a lot needed to be done in order for these people to be heard; Secondly I have already created links with the disabled persons organisations (DPOs); With their support this project will be a success.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
My project seeks to train 50 direct participants. These trainings will be aimed empowering them with life and ICT skills,this means they are going to own the project since they will be the implementers right away from the beginning. From experience, when people own the project, then you are rest assured of its sustainability. Since no one wishes to lose what he or she initiated.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
