Citizens Voices
Teaching local residents to record and edit audio recordings on Audacity for a community podcast that can be uploaded online, as well as distributed to local radio stations for a wider reach.
As a response to mounting concerns over poor service delivery, low productivity of public investments; escalating corruption in Amuria District, Eastern Ugand; the need for community ‘watch dog’ initiatives to enhance solidarity.

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
The news will cover health,roads,water,environment,gender,service delivery and holding leaders both the elected and appointed leaders to be accountable.
The Citizens Voices will be a platform which will be platform for the marginalized.The participants will create a citizens media platform in which the citizens voices take center stage.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?
Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established that will contribute to the success of the project.
I already have a network of organizations which are ready to support the project.We shall also work with the local FM stations for participants to send their views to be aired free of charge.

Initially we shall training 60
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
If we can be given computers so that we start a Public Information Centre (PIC),where locals can blog on their own.
