Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
I will work with garbage collectors, majorities are male between ages 17 – 56, and 89% are semi- illiterates. The garbage collectors experience problems ranging from low pay, odd working hours, heavy workloads, inadequate rest, sexual abuse, no bargaining powers to improve their terms and conditions of work.
I would like to work with them because I designed their instructional materials under functional adult literacy.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
A documentary film showing various working conditions of garbage collectors will be created to be posted on the internet.
