Ghana: You Care Voice Platform
Youth Concern and Responsive to Environment (YOU CARE) Voice Platform is a platform of youth representing the 12 rural areas of Wa Municipal where environment has been degraded so bad. They will be trained how to use a simple digital camera, basic journalism tips and take photos of environmental degradation and post it on a Facebook group they will create to build awareness amongst their peers who has no qualms of environmental care. The platform will be a pilot project to create community journalism using Facebook where most of the youth in this part of the world is familiar with.
Kenya: The Speak OUT!!! Project
Project seeks to digitally document and share stories of human rights violations meted against children between the ages of ten and fifteen in two counties in Kenya by harnessing their creative abilities and enabling them to tell stories through song, cartoon, illustrations, poems, and drawings. Outcome to be shared through a facebook page, a blog, twitter account and websites of our networks. The project will uncover the unstated human rights violations meted against children. Focus of the project is child battering, sexual exploitation, dating, parenting, alcohol abuse and life expectations
Uganda: Common Community – Radio Soap
Community Community Radio Soap is three months Radio Drama campaigned on citizen participation in decision making in the areas of election, community development and economical activities. The story in this production focus of election and how best the election can meet the needs of the citizens, local community. The programme will be implemented through development and production of a weekly radio drama which will be aired on a local-community radio and listeners will participate through phone calls and text messages. The production team will conduct continuous research and field Interaction.
