We want to help rescue part of the indigenous culture of the ancient peoples who lived in Brazil, specifically in the state of Rio Grande do Norte (RN) since before 1500. We intend to make instructional videos to record the sacred rituals and healing (native medicine), dances, indigenous crafts and stories in order to reintegrate the young indian generations which are losing contact with the habits of elderly indians.
What locality or neighborhood will your project focus on?
Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
We intend to make instructional videos to publicize and to promote indian culture among villagers groups. The themes will record sacred rituals and healing (native medicine), dances, indigenous crafts and stories in order to reintegrate the young generations wich are losing touch with the habits of indigenous people.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?
Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established that will contribute to the success of the project.
2 anthropologists and 1 historian will participate in the project. The indigenous community is their study subject since 2005. They helped found 02 Indian Schools, in which learning is not based on traditional means of education, but in the indigenous culture. These experts believe thast it is time to register these practices in videos and it is time start connecting these communities in the WEB.

Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
It would be very important to have these equipaments: professional cameras , profissional lighting systems, profissional audio recorder systems, and 11 computers to be installed close to the villages.
