The project will help the Shuar indigenous and mestizo communities inhabiting the city of Macas, in the Amazon of Ecuador, to tell their experiences and customs via podcast and forming citizen journalism to young teenagers of the town using the Media Center Facilities Atasim Foundation

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
They tell stories of life, of the situation of racism, loss of local indigenous culture, food and traditional cuisine, traditional knowledge of women, the experiences of midwives, emigration, the performance of local authorities the needs of the neighborhoods, early music and the music of youth, gender violence, intercultural education, traditional medicine.
This will be collected and disseminated in Podcasts on social networks of the city of Ma

How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
We estimate that 40 teenagers will train directly on citizen journalism and cover a population de13.000 people of the city of Macas
