The project seeks to equipp student activists with relevant blogging skills which would enable them to share their experiences as the vanguard of student rights. Many student activists in Zimbabwe have experienced police brutality while some have been expelled from pursuing their studies and these experiences have left many hopeless and disoriented. Through I stories they will express their anger and frustrations as a healing process and move on.
The Project focuses on young people who are vulnerable to fall a prey to the Militant groups and use them as suicide bombers. 20 young people will be selected and 7 days training will be provided to them on use of Digital media for promoting tolerance and peace. They will further share their learning with 500 young people. These activists will share the stories about tactics of militants to equip young people with skills to protect themselves.
Project intends to build the capacity of leaders of select slum communities in Lagos with basic media communication skills which they can use to share their plights & generate public support for development intervention in critical areas of social provisioning or aid improved living and environmental condition. the capacity building will include training on using phone for taking pictures, twitting, Facebook, and relating with media.
Sikh and Muslim community leaders from West London (UK) will receive training in film-making from a professional, facilitating them to learn how to make high quality, effective short films with their mobile phones. These films will promote messages of peace and tolerance between the two communities. They will also receive YouTube training to promote their videos and connect with others internationally, so as to spread positive messages.
We seek to bring together a group of children in the municipality of Cajamarca leaders who can advance inquiry activities and sensitization of what it has meant and continues to mean for children Colombian armed conflict. Our initial goal is to make visible the voices of children who have been direct or indirect victims of the armed conflict in Colombia.
The project shall base on stopping violence against children by reducing child labor and underage marriages. Local leaders and primary school teachers shall be trained on how to take digital photographs, video and audio recording of speeches that condemn child abuse and underage marriages. They’ll also be trained on how to create and post documents to the blogs and social networks. This will create awareness and stop violence against children
90 children of San Bernardino schools and Carlos Alban Holguin will be formed in the audiovisual sphere, and develop awareness of the importance of living peacefully applying the five values of life in peace: respect, responsibility, tolerance, peace and justice in the development two audiovisual pieces: short film, and the diffusion of their experience to other 625 students in social networks and Youtube.
The project is a photography and filmmaking education program for marginalized,displaced,trafficked and conflict-affected youth in Medellin, Colombia. Its main objective is to support young people to have their own, authentic voices be heard, improve their livelihoods, attain new skills, and create professional grade photography and documentaries, centered on their own stories, that can be used to educate and advocate around human rights issues
Training the youth of 4 Initiative Group in diversity and usefulness of online communication in IT period. The youth from towns and villages of Moldova and Transnistria will describe via Internet the life of their community. For this they will create and develop four blogs. They will communicate without some barriers and they will organize eight Debates via Skype emphasizing the advantages of On-line communications.
