Gender inequality and imbalance are serious human rights challenges that are exacerbated by lack of gender budgeting in Uganda. This project will seek to address gender budgeting needs through ICT in order to promote transparency, accountability and participation of women, men, boys and girls in decisions that affect their lives. Gender budgeting can lead to gender mainstreaming which is one of the important strategies for reducing inequality

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
We hope to create stories on the women,boys,girls and men's role and input in local government budgets.We shall create documentary stories in success of gender budgeting in the delivery of services.We shall demonstrate participatory process of marginalized communities in the budgeting process
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?

We are already a network of gender and women empowerment CSOs in the area where this project will be implemented.We have already established working relationship with village and community women and youth groups that will be engaged in this project.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
We will train a total of 100 participants comprising of 50 women,25 youth(boys and girls) and 25 men.These will be equipped with sustainable use of ICT skills for advocacy and engagement of policy makers and implementers thereby being able to make gender mainstreamed budgets.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
We would be more than will to provide resourceful personnel that can supplement our pool of staff in the project training project
