Youth Media Center will provide a platform for disadvantaged youths to discover their talents, develop their skills by training them in the field of multimedia and ultimately securing their life by creating opportunities for employment. Through our programs we will inject and instill the sense of professionalism in their work so that they find a place to market their talent. Helping the youth to become a responsible and productive citizen will be our continuous effort.

Describe the specific population with whom you will be working.
We will focus to 100 disadvantaged youths of Bhutan. They are the future leaders of our country but they are left out without any opportunities so, we will provide them the platform to enhance skills and develop their knowledge in the field of multimedia and create better livelihood. They will be trained in multimedia skills such as animation, graphics, music and sound, cinematography and photography.

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
Trainees will create traditional, modern as well as mixture of both the modern and traditional videos which will contain historical stories of Bhutan.
Trainees will also preserve the traditional songs of Bhutan.

Our organization has launched the training courses on multimedia to make the project successful. The multimedia training includes animations, graphics, music and sound and photography. We are planning to train 100 disadvantaged youths at free of cost in first phase. To make the training activities more interactive and work centered, YMC partnered with M-Studio for the project. M-Studio is a private multimedia studio and also one of the most successful studios in Bhutan. M-Studio specializes in sound, music recording, music creation, computer graphics and video editing works. M-studio is very popular among the youths and has its specialty in the music they call as B-Pop.
How many participants do you think will be trained in your project?
100 disadvantaged youths of Bhutan. To sustain their participation we will provide them some incentives such as stipend of local currency 1500.
Describe which technologies, tools, and media you will focus on when training participants.
Youth Media Center will use the following technologies to train disadvantaged youths of Bhutan;
1. Computers
2. Video Cameras
3. Photography cameras
These technologies are most appropriate for this community because these technologies provides better opportunities such as employment, business, services etc. Therefore, we will train them to create better livelihood.
Describe the facilities where you will hold the workshops.
The workshop will be conducted at Youth Media Center training hall. It contains 12 number of computers and is connected to internet facilities with lease line connection.
What is your current relationship with the community with whom you plan to work? What makes you the most appropriate individual or organization to implement this project?
My relationship with the community is that I live in that community as a family. Youth Media Center is a non government not for profit organization in Bhutan and our mission is to nurture and future for the youths. Therefore, we feel we are most appropriate to implement this project.
What specific challenges do you expect to face when planning and implementing your project?
The challenges that we may face:
1. Youth dedication to the skill development and profession
2. 100 % of the trainees pass successfully in the training course
3. Willing to help NGO through kinds or minimum cost
How will you measure and evaluate the project’s impact, specifically: your primary participants, the wider regional community, or the global digital community?
The project objective is to develop multimedia skills of the youths through training and interactive learning. Therefore, it is important to find out if the youths are actually getting the skills they are getting trained for. The most effective monitoring mechanism will then be by gauging the effect. This can basically be done by evaluating the pre project and the post project situation. The method to do this are:
1. Conducting pre test and a post test on the training the trainees have undergone.
2. Assessing class project works and submitting project reports.
