We have intervened in projects to provide pshycosocial and health suport to rape survivors. we have groups of rape servivors who are also our facilitators and they help other rape victims to denounce the act take them to health centers and provide psychosocial suport. these women are willing to share and help others
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
The programe we curently have has a lot of survivors more than 150 in different axes. we woul like to train 15 women from each axe who is dealing with a spacific topic in helping women thus: 5 in judiciary support
5 in Familly mediation and help with trauma
5 in Socio Economic reintegration. these women are to train other women in the group. All these 3 aspect will be highlighted because they are the main issues women servivors are facing.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
You can help us expand our computer library. we have 3 old desktop computers. You can support the making of a movie on how these women servivors are curently helping each other even during war. These are undocumented stories that the world has not come accross all we hear is congolese women being raped but nothing is said after the atrocities and rapes very little is said on their servival most espacialy on their personal fights.
