We have a value on which we hold on to and which has driven us this far. We believe that natural resources preservation can only be realizable when social awareness has been built. However, it is inevitable that this awareness can only works when social welfare is attained. Therefore, in our village which is predominated by fishermen and farmers, we have tried our maximum effort to provide free services to initiate and enhance knowledge.

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
The children and youth around our region have equal competencies or even more upon knowledge and skills compare to those residing in the city.To use of media (internet) will help them to speak up their mind and gain the rights. The participants will use their mobile-phone to take pictures of the different themes of the activity of their family and share them online.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?

Our institution has started free computer training and Basic English training since 2005 and as we received internet satellite and 5 units of computer in 2010, we also conduct Internet-using training together with free internet access for public.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
There will be 60 girls from fishermen and farmers’ community. They will be trained in computer, internet, creating social media (facebook, twitter), blog (1 blog = 1 group = 10 participants). The will spread their story to the world, and published through social media.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
We would very much appreciate if could provide us with mobile-phones (second-hand) for the participants, school equipment (books, bags, shoes). We also plan to sustain and spread this project to other areas of the region, so we require long term partnerships.
