Almidan NGO in Lebanon is planning to be part of the global digital world and use the social media as a tool of conversation with the community and members. Almidan is willing to find and invite other NGOs or civil societies who share the same ideas and objectives.
Therefore, Almidan’s project will create a group blog, a digital photography group and a mobile phone application to have a continuous connection among members and invitees.

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
First of all, Almidan will use the citizen media to present its work, project and activities. Also, we will use to invite volunteers to work and get experience with us. Moreover, the participants will create blog group to share and discuss their problems and ideas. Also, a digital photography group and an online Flickr photography exhibit will be created. Also, the facebook and website will be updated and a twitter account will be created.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?

Almidan NGO is planning to start connection with other national NGOs that are already working online and well experienced. Also, we will make sure that all its member are internet connceted to be able to implement the projects. And, we will start ask surveying our volunteers and target groups to identify the direct participants.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
It is difficult to identify a certain number but we are thinking of well training 20 persons who are responsible of projects and activities within the society and by their turn, they will train their working groups and civil organizations. For example, Almidan employees, member from the municipality and members of other NGO and civil societies organizations and agriculture co-optations. In this way, we assure good participation and sustainability
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
We can provide logisticis as office, computers and internet connection. Also, we will provide facilitators and coordinator. Moreover, Almidan will hire a social ,media expert after the end of the project who had participated in the training in order to sustain the project. We want the project to be the launching step in our online digital world objective.
