“Aprender fogatas” seeks to develop and engage community media communicators in collective learning through the collaboration between expert organizations and those who have the need or interest in it. Specifically, the project intents to build a network, through which different organizations, communities and independent media will have the chance to contribute in a political-pedagogical process that results in the formation of new communicators.

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
We seek that, trough the internships and their complementary activities, organizations and/or collectivities will preserve historic memory. We are interested in establishing a communications mechanism that will break the mold of traditional and mainstream media, and also be able to recuperate testimonies, denounces, life stories or reflections around culture, languages, or different ways of making politics.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?

Today, we are 7 organizations that are looking to participate, follow and consolidate as coordinators of this Project. We are rural and urban organizations that have profiles of independent media or political engagement. Every day, we are building conditions to bring more communities to this newborn network.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
About 10. We need people with a political concience and open mind to learn new subjects in a colective political-pedagogical process.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
A side for a grant that will allow us to begin this Project, Rising voices can be a spreading and linking platform for the many communities and organizations that will be interest in our proposed way of collective learning. Also, Raising Voices can also support us in translating materials that can be shared and publicized as part of our interest in showing the results of this network.
