Fors@Challenge is the 1st competitive online reality show for social entrepreneurs in the MENA region engaging & mobilizing thousands of youth from the online community towards action. Fors@ will select 12 youth with innovative ideas tackling their communities problems. The show will be broadcasted online allowing viewers, via web presence and social media campaign, to interact and engage with the Fors@Challengers via voting, commenting & sharing
What locality or neighborhood will your project focus on?
The project is national and will include 4 different regions of Morocco
Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
The population that we are targeting are youth that have ideas and ambition to lift their underserved communities out of poverty but they don't have the means, the tools, capacity, visibility and resources to do so. The youth are 19 to 35. We believe that technology and online campaigning can provide a huge support to these youth draining more funds, partners and resources their way.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
An online platform with e-learning component will gather all resources for the youth.
The participants will compete to create:
– videos, podcasts, documentaries to promote their social cause,
– Blogs sharing their stories during Fors@ experience generating more interest from the online community & eventually getting more votes,
– Phone Texting codes among participants to create solidarity,
– share stories in social networking.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?
Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established that will contribute to the success of the project.

In addition to our partner Silatech that will provide cash seed funding to the winners of the competition.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
About 80 participants will be trained during this project.
– 12 finalists will receive full coaching, mentoring.
– 50 to 70 will receive Speed-mentoring and capacity building .
We have created a synergy with our partners to gather all our resources & funding to provide sustainable support for the participants.
– We are investing in youth leading social enterprise which in terms provide sustainable solutions
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
We would love for RisingVoices to promote the project among its partners and online platforms, also provide any relevant resources, training opportunities for the young participants if available. Furthermore, if RisingVoices organizes conferences/forums, would love to showcase our project and eventually find partners to duplicate it in other countries!
