The proposed idea is to initiate a printed publication, reflecting a pictorial representation of the victims of WAR ON TERROR. For more than a decade, unremitting conflict exists in the northern tribal areas of Pakistan & Afghanistan, among the militant groups and Law enforcing agencies from all around the world. Hundreds of guiltless have lost their lives literally and figuratively along with dozens of blameworthy.
What locality or neighborhood will your project focus on?
Describe the specific community with whom you will be working.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
The publication will be a 30-paged News Journal/Magazine, categorically divided in several branches. Ten interviews concentrating different problematic issues will be selected and transformed into technically written stories. Each story will be published on two adjacent pages of the Journal along with the expressive photographs supporting that specified content.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?
Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established that will contribute to the success of the project.
We have associates that are already working and serving in the camps of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), and links to some straight inhabitants of those combat zones. These connections will provide us with a convenient seek-out of our subjected population. This will also help us in optimized utilization of resources in a diminutive time-frame.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
A number of 20-25 young volunteers will be engaged in the concerned activity for the purpose of technical writing, photography, situational analysis, and liaison roles. Before setting them out on the field, a three-day workshop will be held to equip them with the required skills. At the end of this workshop, these participants will have to pass through an assessment, which will make them eligible to be a part of this project.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
Besides the funding schemes, this project will call for a due exposure on international grounds through recognized platforms and forums. As this is not only an activity for social welfare but a compelling issue in a long run, it desires a voice that could be heard.
