A group of 100 youth(5 males and 5 females each) village youth from villages devastated by floods will be formed and trained by experts under this project in photography, blog setting and other basic principles of internet. 4 events of Three days training will be organized highlighting local problems globally through social media and internet. Trained groups members will be given camera to document miseries of people especially women and girls.

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
Stories pertaining to the losses of floods in social, economic and cultural context will be documented. Issues pertaining to women and girls will be highlighted. Grievances of people will be recorded. Impacts floods on women and children will be documented. These will be circulated at social media and internet through blogs and other networks. Organization has carried out the socioeconomic survey of these villages. Process of social mobilization is started and Integrated Community Organization-ICOs are formed these villages. These will facilitated the trained youth in carrying out their work. Trained persons will be members of these organizations.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
100 Youth (50 males and 50 females) will be trained under this project from 10 flood devastated villages. Support of ICOs formed in these villages will be sought. They would under the umbrella of ICO a village level Community Based Organization mandated to take self help initiatives for community development.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
Right Now BASIC DF is working on self-help basis. Process of social mobilization and capacity building is going in these communities. organization is in interaction with line departments for linkages development of these communities so that they may benefit from their services.
