During the Kony war in northern Uganda,many single mothers migrated with their children to kampala and are now living in designated slum areas of Kampala. However they migrated with their skills of making beads from recycled paper which are picked from the bins of office premises and little is know about them and their good works.Through digital networking they can promote their products to get market.

There are over 1000 single mothers migrated from Gulu northern Uganda and living in Slums of Kampala in poor conditions. Being migrants there is little know about them and their bad living conditions and struggles to earn a living.I want to help them learn how to network online and promote their products and make other communities and government aware of them hence raisng their voices to the world.
What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
Using Digital networking will help these single migrant mothers speak out to the world and the government of Uganda about their life,needs,stories and network them to different people in the world to promote their bead works and this will help creat more market for their paper bead products.

Power Minds Youth Organisation has created member groups in women of kinawataka slums and katanga and together we have established a project cause for them called Help Single mothers Earn a Living in Recycled paper Beads. this project has helped in training quality,quantity,design managment and local marketing skills for their products.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
Over 100 women will be trained in social media,blogs,photography,mobile sms system in marketing. These women are already organised into groups of 20 members each therefore it will be easy to launch and promote the training mauals through their chairperson and secretaries.
