How many participants do you think will be trained in your project?
a. Who will benefit from the project and how will these benefits be realized? (Total number of recipients and number of women/children.) We expect that approximately 100 women will directly benefit from vocational training during the course of the project. Several hundreds more will benefit in the future from the continuation of the projects. The project will also touch on hundreds of students, opinion makers, educators, religious and tribal leaders, as well as government functionaries through the advocacy and outreach campaign.

What specific challenges do you expect to face when planning and implementing your project?
The issue of early and forced marriage is integrated into local culture and customs. It will have to be dealt with carefully in order to ensure that key messages are accepted as being fully compatible with Islamic jurisprudence and custom. The project will take a non-confrontational approach, that focuses on the harm to women arising from this practice
How will you measure and evaluate the project’s impact, specifically: your primary participants, the wider regional community, or the global digital community?
To provided targeted support to women in the Hadramout area of Yemen, by challenging through a public awareness campaign the tradition of early and forced marriages, as well as societal acceptance of violence against women. This will involve seeking to rehabilitate and re-integrate vulnerable groups of women (divorcees, child brides, victims of abuse) into society by providing skills to ensure economic independence.
