Register oral tradition of the Mayan community of Popola located in the municipality of Valladolid Yucatan State, Mexico by audio & video, training to children and adolescents of the community. Using digital recorders, videocamera, camera, software from Audacity, Gimp and Windows Movie Maker. The audios, videos & images obtained & processedwill be uploaded to the network in an account of Facebook, Twitter, Youtube & a blog that will be created.

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
It will create podcasts of community history, stories, legends and community knowledge, narrated by the habitants. They recorded videos about traditional practices (ceremonies, traditional festivals, etc.) And take photos to record the daily lives of the community and images about the practices they do.
What technologies and digital tools do you plan to use in the trainings?
Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established that will contribute to the success of the project.
Ties already exist in the community with some teachers, the director of the school, supported by the community authorities and Indigenous Education of the State Government. Also we intend to engage agreement with CDI, INDEMAYA and Valladolid City Council to extend the project to other communities.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
15 children and adolescents between 10 and 15 years old. They will be selected in the schools of the community through direct interviews with them and showing interest for the project, will also be agreed with their parents to have their support and commitment.
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
Continuity, take the proposal to divers mayan areas with the same goal of preserving the oral tradition.
