The main objectives of the proposed project are to: • Mobilize the targeted youth volunteers, both girls and boys, for the formation of district-level Intercultural and Interfaith Youth Councils (IIYCs); • Conduct capacity-building sessions and create opportunities for the IIYCs to promote intercultural and interfaith harmony and peace; • Develop linkages and coordination among IIYCs to build networks

The target youth will be facilitated to enhance their capacities on using ICT in promoting intercultural and interfaith harmony and peace; From different geographical areas of the country both Audio and Video content on intercultural and interfaith harmony and peace through mobile phones will be published on Facebook and Flickr.

Youth Catalyst Pakistan has already formed number of volunteer groups involving both young girls and boys from different geographical areas with diverse religious and cultural backgrounds. It is extremely logical to involve these youth groups in promoting pluralism, diversity, building relations and coexistence to create a society where unity, peace, tolerance and mutual respect become order of the day.

• 22 Youth Founder Members, both girls and boys, of 10 Intercultural and Interfaith Youth Councils (IIYCs)
• 200 Youth Volunteers from local communities of target 10 districts
Besides the microgrant funding, what other resources and support are you seeking for your project to ensure its success?
Rising Voices can facilitate these groups of volunteers in building their capacities on promoting intercultural and interfaith harmony through e-learning courses, materials and guides.
