Round Dance Cinema will fuse the dynamic stories of Indigenous people with the sharing capabilities of online media.This project will fuse short videos created by Native Americans using smartphones,digital cameras and internet into an online, intertribal film festival. Creating these short films will increase communication between tribal people, while augmenting public awareness about First Nations people as multi-dimensional individuals.

What kinds of news, stories and other content will be created?
In a traditional Native Round Dance,people form a circle and side step to the beat of a drum.Each person is an integral part of making the circle a success.Similarly,each short video in this online film festival will contribute to expanding the images of Native America by answering the question,”who do you say that you are/what do you want the world to know about you/your people? Short videos from various ages and stages of Natives will answer.

Wells of Victory, Inc. is a 501(c)3 charity that enjoys partnership with Wells of Victory,Inc, Spiritcare,Inc and other non profits. Also, Native Hoop, Whispering Wind, and many other Native entities are a vital part of our partnership.
How many participants do you think will be involved in your project?
Social Media represents a major method of identifying, connecting with, recruiting and communicating with participants. while the number of participants is not yet determined, Round Dance Cinema provides the opportunity for many participants to contribute videos and to share the stories of Native America through the resulting online film festival.
