Proper Information communication technology infrastructure yet to be fully exploited by the residents of Makueni County, the ministry of education has been on the forefront in the utilization of ICT in training especially in secondary schools thereby improving its usage. The main users of ICT services are youth and the salaried workers who use the internet enabled phones and modems. The county needs to improve in ICT training in order to take advantage of the available opportunities especially with the construction of Konza Technpolis City which is located in the county.

Describe the specific population with whom you will be working.
Most parts of the Makueni county are well covered by mobile phone network provision which stands at 85 per cent. The distribution of good data connectivity infrastructure from these network providers is limited to 2G with minimal 3G distribution only limited to major towns of Wote, Kikima, Mukaa, Makindu, Emali and Mukuyuni. This has solely affected the uptake of major internet services within the county .There are 37 cyber cafes throughout the county situated mainly in main market centres. The county has only 1 private courier service provider and 13 post offices. Makueni has a total population of over 0.9m residents. Enabling Good Community Communication will efficient disaster cubing and management something that has being of great mayhem to the County government of Makueni

The mission of Makueni County Forum For US (MCF4us) which is a Community Based Organization (CBO) is to provide access to educational resources that increase the capacity of young people to become employable and self-reliant in today's global marketplace. ICT4D Kenya accomplishes its mission by providing entrepreneurship and employment training to youth along with material and capacity-building support to communities. This targets use of ICT as a strategic enabler to development.

We already have an Existing Facebook social site with three administrators, We have recruited more than 10, 000 people and currently we are aiming at recruiting another 10,000 before the end of the year. These members are all allowed to freely contribute online on Development affairs, Alert members in case of emerging disasters and also social and political debates.
How many participants do you think will be trained in your project?
For the start of the expansion, I will need twenty trained staff to help with the community awareness of the importance of being digital and communicating digitally

I will be evaluating its effectiveness from the Social site that I target to have at least half the population of the County using it Actively.
