Rising Voices is thrilled to announce the newest additions to our community of grantees that will receive microgrant funding and mentoring to implement citizen media outreach projects in their local communities. Please meet our new grantees from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Guatemala, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Uganda, and the United States!

Announcing the Rising Voices Amazonia Project

In partnership with Avina Americas, Fundación Avina, and the Skoll Foundation, Rising Voices will be working directly with communities in the Amazon Region that want to tell their own story and participate more actively online through the use of a variety of digital media tools through a microgrant competition and a mentoring program that will launch next month.

Rising Voices announces the launch of the 2014 microgrant competition for citizen media outreach projects. Applicants can now upload their ideas to the site, and receive feedback from our community, as a way to strengthen their proposals and make connections with others. Deadline for applications is April 9, 2014.
