Slovakia: Keeping Solidarity Alive – Mapping the Field of Women’s Rights

The project seeks to create an open online platform (blog) for mapping, sharing and exchange of knowledge and experiences about women’s rights by presenting facts, news, data, stories, and video and photo documents in social and online media. The project creates the conditions for building skills in digital competences among young people with aim to boost women’s activism. We accentuate the intense work with young leaders from marginalized Roma communities, young people with migrant and LGBTIQ background whose visibility is dramatically unrepresented in public life including public media.

Ecuador: I Live!!

We want people with disabilities show their life, with their skills, abilities, challenges, efforts positively for others with disabilities believe in themselves and other people to change the way we think about people with disabilities and can see them as people who can take on challenges, difficulties, actions like any other person through a inclusive and accessible video posted on social networking which includes these life experiences and tries to form a digital network of support among people with disabilities who want to share their lives.

Brazil: Unconscious Memories

This project has as its goal to provide for psychiatric patients in the public hospital psychiatric Centro Psiquiátrico do Rio de Janeiro (CPRJ) tools for photographing his everyday life, the activities at the hospital and the historic port city, where is located the CPRJ. The award-winning Brazilian photographer Walter Firmo will give a workshop for patients, including theoretical and practical classes. The project aims to empower patients, collaborate with the therapeutic work developed with the psychiatric patients and create a unique photographic memory about the region.

Bosnia Herzegovina: Inform and Transform

The project is created as a powerful tool for the use of the media and social networks for the needs of the youth from the local community. To youth will be given a chance to go through the set of workshops and lectures about audio and video production, the knowledge of textual expression of the web journalists, the importance of the social networks in the information flow and the creating and the maintenance of the web platforms. The primary tool, which will be used at the end of this training, will be an online radio station blended in the web platform that has informative characteristics.

Brazil: This is Santa Marta

The ‘This is Santa Marta’ project consists in an audiovisual production workshop, to be held for the visual core of Ong Social Attitude, with ten young people in this poor community in Rio de Janeiro. As a practical exercise we will produce a web reality with the residents of the community. We use digital technology in capturing and editing images and beyond the display on a web channel, we will also views the program as the film club Ong community.

Colombia: Community Cinema Screenings

The aim of the project is that the children and young women of the neighborhood Juan Rey in Bogota, Colombia produce a shortfilm on the principal challenges of a child who grows in an environment of exclusion and conflict. We want to sensitize to the community on the impact of a negative environment in the growth and development of the children. The shortfilm will realize by means of the training in audio-visual production, photography of 20 children and young inhabitants of this vulnerable community of the south of the Colombian capital.

India: Nazariya Mobile

Working with adolescent + college age girls from the marginalized Muslim communities of Ahmedabad city. Project scales up two proven models of community engagement – Community workshops- To encourage target group to reflect upon their position within the community+create content in the form of posters, comics, micro-audio, micro-video. Mobile Voice Messaging: Creating, sending & receiving feedback through micro-audio delivered on a voice messaging platform.

Zimbabwe: She Says

The project aims at teaching rural women to use the internet to write about themselves in their own language, and to facilitate their participation in national , politics, economic and social issues.25 women will be trained on blogging, using wordpress, facebook and twitter. They will inturn train other women in their respective projects, or groups. Trainees will then create bloggs suitable for their own intrests, through which they will be able to tell their own stories. By this they will get recognition from other women in influential positions, and also learn what other women are doing.

Hungary: MigSzol Migrant Voices Project — Migráns Szolidaritás

The project aims at empowering the refugees in Hungary through media and journalistic training, for them to have a voice in the main political and cultural debates affecting their and their communities’ futures. We will hold 3 trainings in 2 cities in Hungary: Budapest and Debrecen. After transferring the skills, our informal group, composed of refugees, asylum seekers, migrants and Hungarians living in Hungary, will follow up on media creation. The platform for citizen journalism will be our new webpage, which will offer a complex content: personal stories, advocacy videos, initiatives.
