We recently spoke with Siddharth Hande from the Rising Voices grantee project Transparent Chennai about the progress of the participatory mapping project in Chennai, India. Sid has been providing regular updates and background information about the purpose of the project on the project blog. In this podcast, we asked Sid about how he started the relationship with the fishing communities, and why he took a special interest in mapping. In addition, we learned more about some of the plans for working with the children and older residents of the villages, as well as the unique challenges that have arisen thus far.
