Young women journalists and activists will be engaged in creating citizen's journalism to promote freedom of expression to address gender based violence, women’s rights and empowerment by echoing the voices of the grassroots women. Mobile phones to record interviews, take pictures and video to share on the website to support their postings on the web.
The project aims to train community women how to capture the local environmental issues related threats, solutions, opportunities and how to feed the outputs back to the community via blog posts, online videos, photos, news articles with the objective of empowering local communities. While using the latest technology, it is proving that digital media can give a voice to a community and bring them to a common understanding about their problems.
