Uganda: Empowering Youths in School to Raise Voices

St. Paul Secondary School, Mpererwe wishes to run a project to raise voices from youths in schools and other institutions of learning by training them to use digital photography technology and web searching in order to share the plight, challenges and success stories from youths in institutions of learning and conduct discussions through blogging and mobile phone cameras to cope up with appropriate strategies to overcome development barriers.

Tanzania: Sauti Yangu Media

Sauti Yangu Media is a swahili name means My Voice Media.The project aims at equipping voiceless community helping them to advocate for their own needs or participate online.The project is seeking a solution to the young Tanzanian 13-30 ages who are dying almost every day while driving a motorcycle in Meru District. The project will involve Government and non Governmental to get Emergency Response & Prevention. Different feedback will be collected.

Myanmar (Burma): Collab Space for CJs

Despite extremely low Internet penetration rate, more Myanmar people are starting to use social networks and become “netizens”. However, limited knowledge on privacy and access to network, especially in smaller towns, becomes a barrier for them to tell their stories to the whole country or to the world. We aim to have more ethical citizen journalists in the country who could share their stories to a broader network on a timely manner.

Uganda: Removing Barriers for an Inclusive Society

The projects major aim will be empowering PwDs with information Communication technology skills to enable them share their life stories and raise awareness on issues affecting their full inclusion in the community. They will be trained on how to document, video film, photographt and testify touching stories that can later be used for advocacy. This project will benefit 50 PwDs in Kasese directly. And in the long run these will also train others.

Serbia: Creative Rural Women on the World WEB

With this project we intend to build virtual bridges between traditional and new technologies as well as elderly and young rural women, with the aim to enable them to promote their products by using ITC and partnerships. 24 women from 12 villages in province of Vojvodina will be trained to prepare virtual catalogs and how to spread them on the internet, which will create new opportunities for them to enter the inter/national market.

Guatemala: Getting to know Guatemalan's Congressmen

Guatemalan Congress is highly criticised but also highly unknown by the majority of the population (many don't speak spanish). Our project will provide the common citizen access to their representatives by letting them interact and get to know their congressmen using workshops and providing free and accessible information. We want to empower local citizens to demand their needs to their representatives and more important, question the status quo.

Cat fish aquaculture is a serious business in Ikorodu Lagos Nigeria with huge investment in infrastructure by the individual investors, World Bank and the Lagos State Government where more than twenty thousand jobs had been created. Utilizing ICT tools such as mobile phone, internet and social media will promote efficiency and profitability through information dissemination on market,timely alert of threat and knowledge sharing among farmers.
