NGO “Option” has two stuff people: Maryna Shandoruk (https://www.blogger.com/home), Natalia Shandoruk (http://www.odnoklassniki.ru/profile/485022496449). We also have the small group of volunteers to participate in the project: Tatyana Venhrova (also a web-designer), a manager of library affiliate #11 of Khmelnitsky City Library (https://www.facebook.com/tatyana.vengrova?fref=pb&hc_location=profile_browser), Alina Kalinska, journalist-freelancer (https://www.facebook.com/alina.kalinskaya?fref=ts).

The SITE will consist of Anticorruption chapter which will be used by any member of local community. On the site can be written about corrupted organizations of our region, about people who require bribes, but with proving video of requiring (givetake) bribes (which is really easy to make nowadays by phone) and comments when and how it was. For example, a doctor who requires money bribe from patient can be shouted on video and shown on our platform. There also will be posted problems of the region, like roads, agricultural, civil needs, etc. We will offer to young journalist join blogs on the site to share their fresh views and investigations. It means that any person with journalist talent is able to use our TOOL to make community life better and therefore also make hisher name.

Describe the connections that you or your organization have already established or plan to establish that will contribute to the success of the project.
We closely collaborate with Khmelnitsky City Library. This public institution will provide a hall for trainings. We also collaborate with Children Educational Institution # 23 (Khmelnitsky town), which is ready to help for promotion the the discussing SITE among all the workers of kindergartens and encourage them to participate in trainings.
How many participants do you think will be trained in your project?
We are going to gather at least 150 participants for trainings and encourage all city community as much as possible to join the discussing SITE. The main goal is to make it
Describe which technologies, tools, and media you will focus on when training participants.
Using online sites and blogs is the way to share and get information, especially for older people of our community. They are getting information from television, which is possibly a tool of propaganda. That is why we face the need to wide access to public information for people of 50 years old through our SITE. Therefore publicity is a great way for building new Ukrainian democracy, people have to know bribers and discuss local problems using technology resourse. Young journalists, streamers and bloggers will be able to join public life of community. This is also a good way of development of Third sector in Ukraine. We will provide trainings for people over 50 years old to teach them how to use the SITE and sharing information and discussion within it.
Describe the facilities where you will hold the workshops.
We will hold the workshops on the hall of library affiliate #11 of Khmelnitsky City Library System. The hall equipped with wire ADSL Internet connection (high speed), we would like to order through grant a WI-FI router to provide Internet-access for Tabs and Android system phones of participants. We have only one computer for demonstrations (NGO`s equipment), but there is a good possibility for all willing participants who have no Internet access at home to use free Internet access posts in library affiliates #9, #14 and #12 of Khmelnitsky City Library System which possess free computers given by Fund of Bill and Melinda Gaits.
What is your current relationship with the community with whom you plan to work? What makes you the most appropriate individual or organization to implement this project?
I am the one of representative of our community, was born in Khmelnitsky and know well all the problems of local people. I have been working in Khmelnitsky City Library System for a long time, so I have very close bonds with this organization. In cooperation with Khmelnitsky Library System and particularly with library-affiliate #11 we provided many different activities for people of local community, that is why we know how to work together efficiently. We wish the SITE platform exist for a very long time because it is needed by community and very useful. The platform will be administrated by NGO YEC “Option” further.
What specific challenges do you expect to face when planning and implementing your project?
We expect to face problem of lack of interest of older people to the local publicity. Most of them don`t see the necessity of being involved into the social process, which is mistaken view. We have to make them understand that community can change life into better.
To encourage local people to participate we will make promotion of active social position through advertisement article in Khmelnitsky Municipal newspaper “Proskuriv” which is also our informational partner.
How will you measure and evaluate the project’s impact, specifically: your primary participants, the wider regional community, or the global digital community?
We want to make the SITE very popular and pose it strictly like a tool for solving community problems and questions. If people will use it widely, they will be able to solve many local problems, to build democracy, to expose dishonest officials and make life better. The main goal of our NGO is to make Ukrainian`s lives better. The second goal is involvement of young activists (bloggers, journalists, streamers) into community public life and strong civil position.
