Poland: Jewrnalism Weekend Academy

I will build a network of 10 young Jewish citizen reporters from Poland that will be invited for 4 day seminar( August 2013.) where they will learn how to record audio, video messages. After next 9 months were each member each month has created one media piece, 2 best reporters will be chosen for a 1month internship to JN1TV .All members will become part of Jewrnalism.org and will be able to publish for our and our partners websites.

Poland: Meet Active Citizens

We want to make 5 different videos of 5 different communities from our town (Gdynia). There will be children, people 50+, people with disabilities and other active people working for the whole community. The videos will me made in a light, flashmob convention to reach as many people as possible. We want to show the grate role of local volunteers working for others as well to show people organization that can help them.

Poland: Let’s Hear Their Voice(s)!

The project wants to give excluded communities living in Wrocław (Poland) possibility to share the way their experience difficult situation. Excluded communities (such as Romani and homeless people) will be trained about the general techniques of digital photography and blogs. In this way we want to show that Wrocław is “the meeting place” only in our official PR, not in the reality. We want to give the voice to “invisible” inhabitants.

The project is the inclusion of the urban community to the wider city driving – Citizen participation. People have to have a place where divulge their grievances to the authorities, ideas for improvements, questions to the government. If this option does not give us the direct authority – let's do it ourselves. Blogging platform, in which every citizen will be able to comment on issues related to the functioning of the city.

Poland: Our Micro Country

Is it fair to announce,that new kindergarten starts next week,while the effective opening is done a half year later? For authorities of rural communities (=micro countries) it seems honest! No citizen will argue: they fear of losing jobs, of discrimination or disgrace. Therefore it is essential to create the first network of micro-watchdogs in Pomerania,in order to respect basic units of democracy. Volunteers will gain training, tools, and supervision.

We will equip a special age-group with the knowledge and abilities to use the new media as the tool to share information and experiences with the peers and to be able to be activly involved in the process of creating the content of the local newspaper. Participants will learn: researching information, selecting, photos-making and treatment into the digital materials for Internet Local Newspaper for senior citizens.

Poland: Watchdog Kartuzy

Objective: social control of authorities Kartuzy Municipality. We want to achieve transparency in the activities of local authorities to ensure no corruption and effective public spending. Objectives will be fulfilled through access to public information and its publication in internet: official documents, our analysis and our recommendations to the authorities.
