Proposals Honduras from April, 2014
The elaboration of a Cultural Atlas of the Garifuna people in the Department of Atlantis, with the aim of strengthening the intergenerational transmission of knowledge; addition to collecting information on dance groups and cultural productions. through recordings, blogs and the use of community radio.
The project is an initiative by students in San Pedro Sula to present the realities of various indigenous groups through an ethnographic study. These groups are often marginalized and ostracized from society. By creating awareness of these problems we are one step closer to resolving them. I had previously given cinematographic tutorials in Honduras with the director of the project through the organization OYE Adelante Jovenes. I plan to use the money to produce this project and provide equipment. Unfortunately, the crowd-funding campaign we initiated only achieved 190$ of it's goal.
In wallabies we have made a film about Bulling called Carpe Diem, is a story in video with a duration of 45 minutes, was conducted with funds and especially with the help of the people of Perspire in Honduras, the film is ready for play in to schools and public institutions in Honduras, but lack the funds to do so. The Carpe Diem project is based on raising funds for our film project throughout the country and especially in schools and public schools in cases where you record and Bulling are increasingly frequent, in each presentation will be held a forum where raise the issue in more dept
