Pakistan: Radio Broadcast and journalist Training Project

The purpose for which this grant is being sought is to strengthen radio stations reporting and programming skills. More than 45% of the Pakistani population lives in poverty, and two-thirds of this figure living in rural areas. Some 65% of people living in rural areas are illiterate and lack access to news and information. Most of the radio presenters are working without basic training of broadcasting.

Pakistan: IDPs Media Project

This project will enable IDPs youth age 16-24 living in Camp and host communities to tell stories about themselves and their communities. By learning the documentary approach in photography, IDPs youth will create media products about their lives. Each participant will produce a piece of work, In addition, the participants will also be given a crash course on citizen journalism, allowing them to disseminate their works through the Internet.

Pakistan: Digital Health Awareness Program for Pregnant Women

This proposal is focused on the preganat woman of village PAIRAN,situated in the Nothern Area of Pakistan.Here the SMS Alert SAystem will better work in bringing health awareness among the pregnat women becuase digital source here is only mobile phone.Thiis project will be done with the close collobaration with the pregnat woman, participants and SMS alert centre.SMS alert service will guide & help women throughout their pregnancy to avoid mishap

Pakistan: Ibrahim Hyderi ki Awaz (the Voice of Ibrahim Hyderi)

Ibrahim Hyderi, a 500 year old fishing village located in Karachi, Pakistan, is rapidly losing its traditional knowledge and culture due to urbanisation. Our project will document indigenous fishing knowledge, cultural practices and traditional beliefs through the use of digital media tools. Our professional collaborators will hold intensive digital skills-building workshops to build capacity of young, active members of the community to increase.

Pakistan: Inclusive Computer learning

Initially I will install 10 computers and internet in Johar Computer Center to provide basic Computer training to 200 primary school children, 20 teachers in 5 primary schools, 50 secondary school children, 20 children who are either slow learners or at mild or moderate level of mental retardation (special) in the same locality and 150 adults. Purpose is to indulge 20 special children with normal children in Johar Formal-Education center

Pakistan: Pak-Afghan Youth Libraries

In the border areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan, acute lack of any sports and recreational activities and facilities such as playgrounds and infrastructure for indoor sports has also increased the vulnerability of youth and adolescents. Through this project, organize establish and Up-grade library centres at “Youth Sport and Learning Centres” (construed by BRSP in Pak-Aghan border areas) with the support of Youth Lead Groups.

Pakistan: Rising Her Voice

Pakistan: Labor Rights of Domestic Working Women

This Project will be accomplished by the 10 young human right activist through video documentation. CHANAN will trained both male & female from 5 districts of Pakistan. These activist will trained as Video Documentation Officers and will make some video documentaries on the issues of Domestic Working women's Labor issues in Pakistan. Theses documentaries will be presented in front of government, media, civil society etc for the border impact.

Pakistan: Peace Shots and Social Media for Youth Empowerment

Youth will be trained in technical and aesthetics skills of photography, the concept of peace and using effective social media through a series of workshops in Lahore. They will also record audio stories, and build a visual and oral narrative to hold online exhibition of the work. Blogs will be used to generate debate on the work and issues presented. The project will promote peace and facilitate dialogue among youth through social media.
